This place just gets better every year. Staff is so helpful and caring. I've seen them go above and beyond so many times. Even caught them today offering help to an older gentleman re-dressing a wound in the parking lot. He insisted he was okay, but they checked up on him a few times just to be sure.

My dad was taken to the ER, received excellent care, was admitted to the hospital. We received absolutely some of the best care imaginable. All the nurses, caregivers, doctors and the food service personnel were absolutely phenomenal. Very caring and concerned about my dad.

I was recently hospitalized for three nights on IV antibiotics. Everyone who took care of me was skilled, professional, and genuinely caring. I was really impressed by the hospital staff, especially considering we are losing staff to hospitals who can pay more.

I came in to the ER last night having to get staples in my head and I had the best experience (as best I could lol) but my nurses and doctor treated me so well and made me feel very comfortable! Definitely just wanted to shout them out

This is a huge thank you to Kayln at the lab at Island Health in Anacortes. She did my blood draw today and it was amazingly painless. Hard to do that with my elderly veins and very thin skin so I'm grateful. And there was no bruise or discoloration.

My recent experience with Island Hospital was beyond expectations. Staff was experienced and knowledgeable. Dr Eric Secrist went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and complete the surgery that is enabled me to heal much quicker than expected

From our first contact in the ER to the surgeon, especially the anesthesiologist made us feel confident of the outcome. After the surgery the staff on the second floor were especially caring the RN’s and technicians went above and beyond to make us feel special. We were here on vacation and this unscheduled event could not have been any better. You will always be in our heart and prayers. Thank you.

Who can ever say anything positive about an emergency trip experience to an ER. Anyone that’s been through an unexpected emergency with the fear and uncertainty that accompanies it knows well what I’m saying. My wife of 56 years fell and fractured her hip on her way into a restaurant on Christmas Eve. Thankfully we were only 5 minutes away from our nearest emergency room. Inside of 45 minutes we had the X-ray that showed the hip fracture that would require surgery the next day Christmas morning. The emergency room staff and surgeon who would perform the next day’s operation were outstanding in their efforts to comfort us through their calm professional compassionate actions. I write this now as I lay in our bed my wife sleeping beside me awaiting next weeks beginning rehab scheduling. My admiration and appreciation go out to all those folks that work long difficult shifts on nights and holidays when I’m sure they too would rather be someplace else than an emergency room.

Dr. DeSantis at Island Hospital is fantastic and was a God send for me. I was experiencing ongoing complications after a miscarriage and she was extremely attentive and helpful from the beginning to end of my care. She worked hard and thoughtfully to diagnose me correctly. She checked in with me during the process and was proactive to ensure I scheduled follow ups with her. I could tell she was very willing to work with me and do all she could to ensure I had the care I needed. I greatly appreciate her help and care during a difficult and painful process and I am now feeling much better. Thank you, Dr. DeSantis!
